BJD Wishlist!

May. 11th, 2010 | 09:43 pm

For now I only have one beloved ball jointed doll, but I plan that someday, when I have a steady career and no kids yet, I'll have the resin crew of my dreams :3

Unoa Zero Latea

Even with the Unoa Zero's huge bust, I would still love the whole Unoa Zero Latea. I don't like Marion much (something about her nose and general expression bother me). But Latea's refreshing face and cute disposition are irresistable! Not sure about her character just yet.

Just Be Friends Luka

The boy from Just Be Friends! I plan on making him a Spiritdoll Jade head on a cute SD-sized guy body. His name will be Kaeso Mao Yu, and I think his backstory will be kind of like the one in the music video -- he had to leave a girl he thinks is the love of his life because their relationship isn't as good as it used to be, and he feels that he's just tying her down and keeping her from what she really wants. I don't know if one of the characters would be his girlfriend.... (I don't plan on making her a Luka doll, but she would be his 'girlfriend' maybe? I dunno).

Photobucket
Iplehouse Asa on SID body. I love her face, just the EID body is a bit too ... superwoman for what I had in mind for her as a character. Her delicate face would look better to me on a more delicate body. She is a femme fatale, I think, although I haven't ironed out all the details of her character.

Bluefairy Olive. I had one once, but she wasn't what I wanted at the time. I would rather have her later in life when I would have other dolls on whom to focus besides her. She's adorable! Look at her little sad face. I named her Wren, and that's where my username comes from! I still like her mute character, and I can't wait to have her back someday.

The doll whose body engineering trumps all dolls .... Minifee Shushu (on A-line body)! I had one of these before, too, and something happened where I couldn't look at her anymore without being emotional. I sold her a while ago, but someday hope to re-character her. Her name is Antigone. She hates being called Ant! She is very active and vibrant.

Volks Yo-SD Kanon... the only yo-sized doll that I like. I really miss the one I had (yes, I've bought and sold quite a few over the years for various reasons). Her name was Chi, short for Chishiki which is 'knowledge'. I would've liked to keep her, except again, she's not a doll that I would like to have without other dolls for me to focus on at the same time. I miss her a lot, and her cute Kurumi-like looks and her chibiness. I don't know if I'd keep her backstory or not, but she didn't have much of one, only being a kid. ^^;

Finally, the one I'm working on getting now, an Oasisdoll Yaoyue. I really love her kitten-like looks! She's going to be particularly important to me. Her name is Serenity, and she's a really sweet girl.

I already have a Volks Kurumi and a modified Supia Roda head (body was sold to get the Kurumi).

And that's my dolly wishlist!

Randomness. The end!

The Show

The show went really well! I failed at posing at the end of the 'runway', and I'm not exactly pro model material but I didn't expect to be, since it was my first time.
I'm a little disappointed with myself as far as that, but I don't think it was a big deal. It was a REALLY small 'show' in a classroom, so I didn't embarrass myself in front of too many people. I met two other lolitas from my community who I'd met before at the Alice in Wonderland meetup, so that was cool. There was also one more lolita that was there that I met new. :3 The prep for the show was really last minute - only 15 minutes before the show could we meet to practice, and the person running it didn't have the right music for walking so she had to search for some at the last minute. I suggested the ParaKiss theme, and everyone apparently likes that song/show. We used the longer version (the short one was just too short). I also pretty much arranged the walk direction/"runway" since she hadn't thought it through (or seen the room before).

I do know that there's going to be a chance to model for H.Naoto at Otakon. Since H.Naoto is one of my favorite designers, I'm really excited about the possibility, but I have to admit that I'm no professional and I'm not sure if I'd die of nervousness. I would really have to psych myself up for the show, seeing as loving his clothes made me want to get into Japanese street fashion in the first place. He's part of the reason that I love my dream doll, Volks Kurumi. But that's all wishful thinking, because it's so unlikely that I'll actually get into it. ^^;

Anyway, back to work now. Another Chem test this Friday FML.

Lolita Fashion Show Cold Feet

Apr. 19th, 2010 | 10:53 am

 There's a lolita fashion show coming up on Sunday, the 24th, and I'm getting so scared to be in it! I've never modeled before, and I hope I won't be too newbieish to help out. I know my coords are all nice and...well... coordinated, but I'm nervous about walking. I have bad posture which I've been trying to correct and my face isn't all that pretty, but it's a small con and hopefully no one will be too upset by it if I make a total fool out of myself!

On another note, I don't know which friends of mine are coming. @_@ One said he'd come, but the others still haven't replied and the con is this weekend. I kind of don't want to push them. I also don't want my one friend (H) to come see the lolita fashion show because he'll just make fun of me and I'll feel even worse than usual. Unfortunately he still might show up there because my boyfriend's going (he loves it when I dress up in lolita!) and I'd love to have my boyfriend there of course. XD Maybe the two will cancel out -- my boyfriend's support and H's hating on it. >< Besides, my boyfriend's opinion is more important than H's...... I'm just already super nervous. I'm shaking now and it's just Monday!

I have a huge ton of schoolwork to do, and I really don't understand what's going on recently in Chemistry. The test is next Friday. T_T My god. On top of that I have two giant psych tests for which to study. Too much in too little time. @_@ And I have to get all A's this semester, just to prove to myself that I can. I MUST. @_@

Being a Mod at Loli_Able

Mar. 10th, 2010 | 02:04 pm
mood: bouncy bouncy

Hey guys! I just wanted to touch base with you if you found my journal profile through loli_able. I put a bit about being a mod in my intro post, but I wanted to reiterate here in case you just clicked the link. :3
I think the comm is a great idea, and it's important for people to know that others suffer similar obstacles sometimes. ^^ I am really excited about being a mod, and I hope to make many good topics and fun posts for the members.
I made the mod avatars from A-Little-Kitty's nurse-themed stickers. :3
Also, I wanted to say that anyone can feel free to message me about any decisions I make as a mod. I am happy to explain my reasoning and debate with you if you're reasonable. I know as a user of forums that a lot of complaining goes on behind the backs of the mods in some comms, and I honestly have no problems with you coming out and just giving your complaints to me. ^^ I will publicly post my reasons and openly discuss as long as the other party is reasonable!
Also, feel free to message me if you have random questions/comments about the comm, and I'll answer as best I can. <3
Thanks!
